the only useful festival in the calendar is easter -- only time theres a wide variety of sweet and sour candy, jelly beans in the market in abundance. all other festivals suck.
(milk) sweets suck (and therefore festivals associated with them suck too) -- salty snacks are an altogether different issue and tend to be festival-independent.

I am assuming the reference was to the Americanised Calendar...or have u just decided to completely forget Swades and the festival of light-:)
