6 months!!! I have never managed more than 4 months.
You have not taken into account the following:

3. Effort needed in the next x months.
against:
No. 2 is not really a 'last chance'. So let's drop the argument.
So it's now 3-3.
in case of a try, discretionary powers granted to me give the right to exercise a deciding vote. i vote in favor of not cutting :-)
